Stewed Apple and Blackberry with Cinnamon
It is starting to feel very autumnal, and keeping with whats in season I felt a comforting stewed apple and blackberry with a sprinkle of cinnamon was what was needed. Not just that but the apple trees in our garden are overflowing with apples and its a great way of using them up.
Again I am all for something quick and easy but healthy. Peel, core and roughly chop up your apples in to chunks. Throw in to a pan with a punnet of blackberries and a good sprinkle of cinnamon, add some hot water just to cover the base of the pan and simmer for around 10-15minutes or until nice and soft.
Great for breakfast, a snack or evening treat.
